How it works

What Arden is, and how it works.

Arden is a follow through app. You tell it what needs to happen, and it keeps the person, the commitment and the deadline together, watches the connected tools where that work happens, and brings it back until the loop is closed. Arden is in development for iPhone.

HeyArden is the company and this site. Arden is the product itself. In development. Not released. The waitlist is open and nothing on this site is charged for.

  1. You say itOne full sentence. No form, no category to pick.

  3. Arden checks what happenedGmail and Calendar, for evidence.
  4. Closed, or brought backQuiet with a receipt, or reminded with the context.

What it does

The promise, the person and the context. See it running on the Arden home page.

  • Voice

Say what’s on your mind. Arden turns a messy sentence into the open loops, notes and commitments hiding inside it.

  • Context

Arden keeps the people, conversations, meetings, notes and commitments around your work connected.

  • Today

A morning brief assembled from your meetings, email, commitments and memory, with the reason each item needs you.

  • Commitments

A promise made out loud becomes a tracked commitment attached to the person you made it to. Arden checks your sent mail to see whether you followed through.

  • Notes

Say a thought out loud and it becomes a note, searchable later by what you remember rather than the exact words.

  • Email

The messages that actually need you, with reasons. Arden drafts replies in your own voice, and sending always waits for your confirmation.

  • Meetings

Before a meeting, Arden assembles who you are meeting, what happened last and what is still open between you.

  • People

A working memory of the people you deal with, editable and deletable, that gets more useful over time.

  • Trust

Preview before action, a permission ladder per account, and a record of everything Arden reads and writes in your activity history.

Questions

Founders running the whole company from memory: the investor update, the candidate waiting on an answer, the customer you promised a fix. It is not built for students, for teams sharing a workspace, or for enterprise.

A founder’s commitments leak. The gap between promising something on a call and it actually being handled runs across five apps: capture it, remember the context, find the email, check the calendar, write the message, remember to follow up. Each tool solves one slice and none of them span the whole thing.

Yes, and voice is the input rather than the point. You press and speak, in whatever order it comes out. You never choose a mode: you do not say "add a task" or "set a reminder". Arden works out which of those you meant, and one sentence can produce several of them at once. If it needs one more detail it asks a single question, and the question stays on screen above the microphone while you answer rather than replacing what you were looking at. If it did not hear you at all, it says so and names the likely reason; it never shows an empty transcript and never tells you that you mumbled when you did not.

It shows you a confirmation card listing exactly what it understood, including which person it resolved a name to, before anything is final. One tap undoes any of it. From then on the objects it created are tracked, and the commitment stays attached to the person you made it to.

No. There is no chat thread to scroll. You speak, Arden answers briefly and turns what you said into tracked objects, and the durable record is those objects plus a record of everything Arden did, not a transcript.

A to-do app records that you owe someone a proposal. Arden keeps an open loop: who you owe it to, and it stays open until it is closed. It checks your sent mail to see whether you actually sent it, and stays quiet if you did.

Arden keeps the promise attached to the person after the conversation ends. It brings that commitment back with context, checks the connected tools for evidence it was kept, and drafts the next step when one is needed.

Gmail, Google Calendar. Those are the connections, and there are no others. Drafting waits on your confirmation before anything sends, and reply detection is live for Gmail.

Only within limits you set, per connected account: read only, suggest, ask first, or act. Sending email and creating calendar events always ask first. Every read and every write is recorded with a timestamp in your activity history, and deleting your account deletes the data rather than just the login.

iOS. iPhone only for now. There is no Android app, no web app and no desktop app.
